Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy in London
If you’ve found yourself Googling “hypnotherapy in London” at some point today, chances are something in your life isn’t quite feeling right. Maybe anxiety has been creeping into your daily routine. Maybe a habit you’ve tried to shift just won’t budge. Or perhaps you’ve simply got a nagging feeling that you’re capable of more and you’re ready to do something about it. Whatever’s brought you here, you’re in the right place.

What Is Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy?
Solution-focused hypnotherapy (SFH) is one of the most effective and forward-thinking approaches to therapy available today. It’s not what most people picture when they hear the word “hypnotherapy”, there’s no loss of control, no stage tricks, and no dredging up painful memories you’d rather leave behind.
Instead, it’s a calm, practical, and genuinely empowering process. At its heart, solution-focused hypnotherapy brings together two powerful things: the science-backed principles of solution-focused psychotherapy, and the deep, restorative state of hypnosis. Together, they create something greater than the sum of their parts.

So what makes it “solution-focused”?
Most traditional therapy spends a lot of time looking backwards, analysing problems, revisiting the past, trying to understand where things went wrong. Solution-focused hypnotherapy takes a different approach entirely. Rather than asking “why do you feel this way?”, we ask “how do you want to feel”instead and “what does that life look like?”
It’s a subtle shift, but it makes an enormous difference. Because when we focus on where we’re going rather than where we’ve been, the brain starts to work with us rather than against us. New possibilities open up. Change starts to feel not just possible, but natural.

And the hypnosis part?
During each session, I’ll guide you into a deeply relaxed state, what we call trance. This isn’t unconsciousness, and you won’t lose control or awareness. It feels more like that wonderful, floaty calm just before you drift off to sleep, when the mind is quiet and the body feels at ease. In this relaxed state, the conscious mind, the part that worries, overthinks, and keeps you locked in old patterns, softens. This allows us to work directly with your subconscious mind, where your habits, emotional responses, and deeply held beliefs are stored. When the subconscious is open and receptive, positive and empowering suggestions take root far more easily. That’s where real, lasting change happens. It’s not magic. It’s neuroscience, with a deeply relaxing delivery.

What Can Hypnotherapy in London Help With?
Solution-focused hypnotherapy is remarkably versatile. I work with clients across London on a wide range of concerns, including:
-Anxiety and stress, whether it’s generalised anxiety, social anxiety, or that constant low-level hum of worry that never quite goes away
-Low mood and confidence, helping you reconnect with your own sense of worth and capability
- Phobias and fears, including fear of flying, needles, public speaking, and more
-Sleep difficulties, breaking the cycle of poor sleep and the anxiety it creates
Unwanted habits, from nail biting to negative thought patterns
-Grief and emotional overwhelm, processing loss and finding a way forward
If you don’t see your concern listed here, please don’t let that put you off getting in touch. If hypnotherapy can help and it very often can, I’ll be honest with you about that.

What to Expect From Your Sessions
I know that trying something new can feel daunting, especially when it involves being vulnerable. So here’s exactly what you can expect when you work with me.

Your first session is a relaxed, no-pressure conversation. We’ll talk about what’s been going on for you, what you’d most like to change, and what your life might look and feel like once that change has happened. I’ll walk you through the process so you know exactly what to expect — and you won’t be asked to do anything you’re not comfortable with.

From there, each session follows a similar rhythm. We’ll check in on how you’ve been, talk through what’s shifted, and then move into the hypnosis element, which most clients describe as one of the most relaxing experiences they’ve ever had.

Sessions are typically around an hour, and I offer both in-person sessions in London and online sessions via secure video call, so wherever you are in the city (or beyond), support is within reach.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?
This is one of the most common questions I get asked, and my honest answer is: it depends. Every person is different, and so is every journey. Many clients notice meaningful shifts within just 3–6 sessions. Others prefer longer-term support, particularly when working through something more complex or deeply ingrained. We’ll always review your progress together and adjust as we go, there’s no rigid programme, and no pressure to commit to more than feels right for you.

Why Choose Transformative Mind Practice?
I came to hypnotherapy not as a practitioner, but as a client. I was struggling with anxiety and a fear of public speaking that was beginning to affect my work and my confidence. What I experienced through solution-focused hypnotherapy genuinely changed my life and it’s that personal understanding that shapes the way I work with every client.

I trained at the renowned Clifton Practice and I’m a certified, registered member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH). Every session is held to the highest professional and ethical standards, and everything you share with me is completely confidential.

But beyond the credentials, what I bring is this: I genuinely care. About your progress, your comfort, and your life beyond these sessions.
