A Little About My Journey
Before becoming a hypnotherapist, I had a career as a fashion buyer and later worked in the not-for-profit sector. On the surface, life looked full and busy but underneath, I was struggling. Anxiety had crept in, and a growing fear of public speaking was beginning to affect my confidence and my work.

It was during that time that I discovered hypnotherapy for myself. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. But what I experienced across those sessions was nothing short of transformative. The anxiety that had felt so fixed and so much a part of me began to loosen. I felt calmer, clearer, and more like myself than I had in years.

That experience changed my life, and from that moment I knew I wanted to help others feel the same way. That’s why Transformative Mind Practice exists and it’s the reason I show up every day genuinely passionate about this work.

What Is Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy?
Solution-focused hypnotherapy is a modern, evidence-based approach that combines the best of positive psychotherapy with the power of hypnosis. It’s quite different from what most people imagine when they hear the word “hypnotherapy”, there’s no swinging pendulum, no loss of control, and no being made to cluck like a chicken. Instead, it’s a calm, collaborative process. Rather than spending hours analysing the past or trying to unpick where everything went wrong, we focus on your strengths, your resources, and most importantly, where you want to go. Because the truth is, you already have more capacity for change than you might realise. My job is simply to help you access it.


How does hypnosis actually work?
During our sessions, I’ll gently guide you into a deeply relaxed state known as trance. This isn’t unconsciousness, you’ll be aware throughout and completely in control. Think of it like that lovely, floaty feeling just before you fall asleep, where your mind is calm but still present.
In this relaxed state, the conscious mind, the part that overthinks, second-guesses, and keeps you stuck in old patterns, quietens down. This allows us to work directly with the subconscious mind, where so many of our habits, emotional responses, and deeply held beliefs actually live. When the subconscious is open and receptive, positive, empowering suggestions land much more deeply, and that’s where lasting change begins to happen.

What does the science say?
Solution-focused hypnotherapy draws on our understanding of neuroscience and how the brain processes stress, habit, and change. When we’re anxious or overwhelmed, our brain operates from a more primitive, reactive place. Hypnotherapy helps to calm that response and supports the brain in building new, healthier patterns of thinking and behaviour. It’s not magic, it’s neuroscience with a deeply relaxing delivery.

What Can You Expect From Working With Me?
I know that reaching out for support can feel like a big step, especially if you’ve never tried therapy before, or if previous experiences haven’t felt quite right. So I want to be as transparent as possible about what working together actually looks like.


Your first session
Your first session is really a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk through what’s brought you here, what you’d most like to change, and what your life might look and feel like once those changes have happened. I’ll also explain exactly how the process works, so you feel completely informed and comfortable before we begin any hypnosis.
There’s no pressure to share more than you want to. You set the pace entirely.

Ongoing sessions
Each session typically lasts around an hour. We’ll always begin with a conversation, checking in on how you’ve been, what’s shifted, and what you’d like to focus on. The hypnosis element usually takes place in the second half of the session, and most clients find it one of the most relaxing experiences they’ve ever had.
I offer both in-person sessions in London and online sessions via secure video call, so wherever you are, support is accessible.

How many sessions will I need?
This is one of the most common questions I get, and the answer is genuinely different for everyone. Some people notice significant shifts within 3–6 sessions. Others prefer a longer period of support, particularly when working through more complex or longstanding issues. We’ll always discuss this together and review your progress as we go, there’s no fixed programme you have to commit to upfront.
What issues do I work with?

I work with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety and stress, low mood, sleep difficulties, phobias, low confidence and self-esteem, grief and loss, unwanted habits, and fear of public speaking.
